Red Ribbon Week at Tesoro

Red Ribbon Week at Tesoro is Monday, Oct. 28 through Thursday, Oct. 31. This year’s theme is Life is A Movie, Film Drug-Free, and Tesoro ASB is hosting daily dress-ups.

The week “highlights the importance of living a drug-free life,” according to the Drug Enforcement Administration. Schools nationwide have been celebrating this week since 1988.

Monday - 10/28

To start off the week, put drugs to rest and wear your PJs!

Tuesday - 10/29

On Tuesday, wear black and orange clothing to scare away drugs!

Wednesday - 10/30

As a symbol of being free of drugs inside and out, each class will dress up as a character from Inside Out. Seniors are Sadness, Juniors are Fear, Sophomores are Disgust, and Freshmen are Joy; they will wear blue, purple, green, and yellow respectively.

Also, at lunch, ASB is hosting a Fill Your Cup outside the ASB office with popcorn!

Thursday - 10/31

To conclude Red Ribbon Week, wear red to show your support and raise awareness for drug abuse.

Livy Focht, Tesoro ASB’s Community Service Commissioner and the organizer of their Red Ribbon Week efforts, calls students to “make sure to dress up for Red Ribbon Week to show your support against drugs!”
