One candidate running for Senior Class President of her 2026 class is Irish Carey. A dedicated student leader, Carey hopes to reinstate excitement and enthusiasm towards senior events and fundraisers in the upcoming senior class. Carey describes how she has been working towards this election ever since she was a freshman, and with her experience in ASB throughout middle school and all of her high school career, she has prepared herself for potentially being Tesoro’s next Senior Class President.
If elected, Carey plans to “work with guidance to provide relaxation to help with [student’s] college applications, because it’s a really stressful time and a really stressful year.” She will strive to promote senior events and help her senior class have a memorable year despite the stresses that arise due to college applications.
Carey recalls, “My main goal is that everyone in the class, and not just specific friend groups, have a chance to get closer and make those memories with each other because we do only have one year left.” She wants everyone to unite to have an incredible senior year filled with events that her class will remember throughout their lives.
Carey’s campaign consists of bright neon colors that appear throughout her eye-catching posters and fliers. Throughout her campaign and her candidate video, she spreads the message of the promises that she plans to fulfill if she is elected. She notes, “I’m just kind of going around and spreading the word of what I would do and things I would promise to do, and I’m definitely not one to break my promises.”
As election day approaches, Carey desires to earn the trust and support of her classmates with the hopes that she will be able to provide the upcoming senior class with the most unforgettable final year.
